    About the Canadian Jubilee 2025 Logo

    “The logo was inspired by Pope Francis’ message to the young people as well as the passage ‘Those who hope in the Lord… will run and not be weary’ (Is 40:31) which Pope Francis wanted us to take inspiration from for World Youth Day 2024 and in preparation for Jubilee 2025.

    I drew a silhouette of a pilgrim running towards God. The cross represents a guide for the pilgrim but also a source of hope. The zigzag line underneath the pilgrim represents our journey. I chose a zigzag line because our journey is never really a straight line. Our path can be unpredictable and we all experience the highs and lows of life.

    I drew a heart inside the pilgrim to showcase that we are a pilgrim of hope and love. Pope Francis encouraged us to keep our hearts open to praise God for his many gifts, especially the gift of life. Thus, the heart symbol is also included to represent the gift of life.”

        About the artist

        The WYD 2024 – Jubilee 2025 LOGO is designed by Michelle Beli-en David.

        Michelle is an active leader at St. Kevin’s Parish in the Archdiocese of Montreal. She is a member of the livestream team as well as part of the altar servers ministry and youth ministry.

        She studied at Vanier College in Communications, Media and Studio Arts and at Dawson College in Photography.

        She enjoys reading books, baking and watching movies and tv shows.
